10 days

Join us on what is perhaps the world's most beautiful ski expedition from Agardh to Isfjord Radio. On this 10-day trip, we get to experience everything from magnificent glacier fronts, beautiful mountains, tent life and an exotic overnight stay at Isfjord Radio. The contrasts are big and this is a real Svalbard adventure!

Day to day programe

DAY 1:
The guide meets the guests at IGP at 10:00. Here a welcome meeting will be held where the participants will meet each other, the tent teams are distributed, expectations are clarified and we take a look at the map and route. Afterwards, we will go down to our warehouse where we go through the equipment, test tents and primus, look at the provisions, etc. It is now possible to make adjustments in relation to equipment/tent layers/food. We expect this to take about 4 hours.
Dinner on your own in the evening.

DAY 2:
Breakfast at accommodation. Ask to fill the thermos with hot water. The guide picks up the guests at 09:00. Transport down to our tour production department and preparation for transport and brief. The guests are given clothing for transport. Transport to Agardhbukta takes place by snowmobile and is approx. 80 km (approx. 3 hours). The first day we walk about 9 km.

DAY 3-8:
We enter beautiful, untouched nature. The march west has begun. We cross the Passbreen until we reach Källströmdalen. Here we go north again to reach Reindalen. After two days in Reindalen, we come out to Van Mijenfjord and the wonderful Fridtjov glacier. We go up the glacier to finally meet the West coast.

DAY 9:
On day 9 we arrive at Isfjord Radio. Here we get to take a long-awaited shower, enjoy a cold beer in the sauna and eat a wonderful meal before finally getting into a bed with clean sheets.

DAY 10:
We meet an arctic circle boat down by the harbor for transport back to the city.
Well back in town, we'll unpack all the equipment before we say thank you for this time.

All times are subject to change. The tour program can be changed along the way if weather or road conditions make it necessary.
