Combine comfort and efficiency on a tour with electric bikes. On this tour, you get to see a range of Longyearbyen's sights while getting close to nature. This trip is perfect for the moderately active adventurer, who wishes to use pedal power – but with a little help from a motor.

Your guide will pick you up at the hotel and take you to our expedition centre. Here, you will be provided with a helmet and a bike, and a briefing on how to operate the electric bikes. Electric bikes offer the perfect blend of control, comfort, and stability, especially on the rugged Arctic roads. Their electric assistance provides extra power, particularly on hilly terrain, while their thick tires are ideal for navigating uneven and loose surfaces. We will start the tour from the expedition centre and venture into Longyearbyen.

During our several stops, you will learn a lot about local history and the daily life in the world’s northernmost settlement. Next stop on the tour is Burmaveien: the historic road connecting the town to the harbour. The road is about 50 m above sea level, providing a fantastic view over the fjord. We then head down to sea level, towards Hotellneset, and cycle back to Longyearbyen along the fjord. Throughout the trip we make several stops to enjoy the views, look for northern lights, as well as wildlife. The chances are good that a Svalbard reindeer or polar fox crosses our way.
