Stay at Radisson Blu Polar Hotel Spitsbergen

The world’s northernmost full-service hotel awaits. Newly renovated, and with fantastic facilities, the Radisson Blu Polar Hotel Spitsbergen is centrally located in Longyearbyen, between the award-winning Svalbard Museum and the main shopping area. The hotel boasts an excellent restaurant, with mouth-watering dishes from its Arctic Asian fusion kitchen, as well as the laid-back Barentz Gastropub with hearty meals in a relaxed setting with a broad selection of local and imported drinks.

Hybrid-driven speedboat to Barentsburg

With our new vessel MS Bard you can join an exciting and more environmentally friendly boat trip, to Barentsburg. With its modern look, and design that gives the feeling of being one with nature, MS Bard is unique.

Barentsburg is with its 450 inhabitants Svalbard's second largest settlement. The mining community is located on the beautiful Grønfjord, and is operated and owned by the state-owned Russian mining company Trust Arcticugol. There are own coal-fired power stations, hospitals, hotels, schools, kindergartens and cultural and sports buildings. Although there is still mining in the city, tourism is building up to become the most important industry. It is fascinating to visit Barentsburg and it is an experience to combine untouched nature with Russian culture.

Dinner at Restaurant Nansen

Restaurant Nansen's menu is based on the Asian fusion concept. Here, we only use the best local produce and combine it with delicious Asian flavors. An amazing taste combination that must be experienced! The windows in the restaurant give you an extrodinary view towards the beautiful Hiortfjellet.

The food is top notch, but the atmosphere is informal, and you’re welcome to come straight from the wild.
