Coal Miners' Dinner Deal

We’ve got dinner covered, so you can focus on exploring the great outdoors without worrying about your evening meal. Our catering team prepares a weekly menu, displayed at the hotel, and serves dinner daily from 18:00 to 21:00.

Airport transfers available

There is a convenient, public airport shuttle service that provides easy transportation to and from the hotel. Large buses await you upon arrival at the airport, stopping at each hotel in Longyearbyen.

For your return trip, a shuttle bus will stop at the hotel before each flight. Please check with the reception for specific departure times.

What time is breakfast?

Breakfast is served daily from 07:00 to 10:00 in the reception building and is always included in your stay.

What food is available throughout the day?

After breakfast ends at 10:00, several food options are available throughout the day. We have a range of hot paninis, toast and waffles on offer from 11:00 - 02:00. There is also our daily dinner deal, served from 18:00 until 21:00 and can be ordered at reception.

Do the rooms have private bathrooms?

Only the Family Rooms have private ensuite bathrooms. Other room types have shared bathrooms located in the corridor, which are available 24 hours a day.

Is there a kitchen guests can use?

Yes. Each barrack has a shared kitchen open 24/7, where guests can cook their own meals.

Is the hotel close to the town centre?

Coal Miners’ Cabins is located just outside Longyearbyen town centre, about a 20-minute walk from the main street. The hotel sits within the polar bear safety zone, meaning it’s safe to walk between the cabins and town without the need for special equipment or a guide.
