How does the 'Lowest Price Guarantee' work?
Your direct reservation must be made through one of the following channels to qualify:
HurtigrutenSvalbard.com
FunkenLodge.com
If you find a lower price online for the same accommodation and terms within 24 hours of making your direct booking, contact us directly
with the Subject Line ‘Lowest Price Guarantee’.
Within the email, please include the following:
The booking confirmation email for the direct booking made with us.
The name and URL of the website
A detailed screenshot clearly showing the date of booking, date of the stay, the hotel name, the terms and conditions of sale, the number of people in the room and the rates offered on the Third-Party Booking Channel.
This will then be validated and confirmed by our Team before any price match or refunds take place.
Submit a claim
Approving your claim
If we are able to verify the availability and validity of the qualifying lower price, we will match it.
If your booking with us was prepaid at the time of the online booking, the difference will be refunded to the payment card.
If there was no prepayment, the difference will be adjusted and removed from the final payment ahead of your arrival at the hotel.
Our Lowest Price Guarantee would not apply in the following examples:
Some examples of different accommodations that would not qualify for a Price Match Guarantee include:
Different Room Types: (Superior Room vs 2x Standard Rooms)
Different View Types: (Superior View vs Standard View)
Check-in/Check-out dates: Jan 1st – Jan 5th vs Jan 1st – Jan 4th or Jan 1st – Jan 3rd and Jan 3rd – Jan 5th
Number of Guests: 2 Adults vs. 1 Adult
Payment or Booking Terms
Qualified discount rates available to members of special programs or associations (i.e. AAA, senior, government, loyalty, employee discounts);
Special "exclusive offers" or "online coupons" that are not intended for the general public;
Rates not publicly available, such as negotiated Group, Event or Corporate rates;
Package rates that include the room and other components such as activities, parking, travel, car rental, entertainment, or meals excluding breakfast;
Rates found on opaque, bidding, or auction sites where the hotel brand, the specific hotel, the hotel location or price is not known until booking is finalised. Examples of these types of sites include, but are not limited to, Priceline and Hotwire.
Rates displayed on websites/portals/web pages which do not have an online booking system, such as information sites or sites which confirm reservations only after contacting the hotel (“booking request”)
Rates which are part of a package which includes both a room and an airline ticket, a cruise, a car rental or any other activity or any other service inside or outside the hotel.
Any other unpublished or private rates or sites requiring a login.
