Experience Tempelfjorden’s spectacular glacier landscape on a guided fjord safari towards Tuna and Von Post Glacier. Along the way, you’ll visit historic trapping sites, bustling bird cliffs and enjoy views of Svalbard’s towering mountains. The trip also includes an expedition-style lunch on shore in beautiful Bjonahamna.
Join us on a boat journey towards the mighty Tuna and Von Post glaciers at the far end of Tempelfjorden. This trip takes you deep into the fjord landscape, past impressive glaciers, historic sites such as the former home of the renowned trapper Hilmar Nøis, lively bird cliffs, and Svalbard’s towering mountains.
Dressed warmly in floating suits, we head into Sassenfjorden. Your experienced guide makes a stop at the beautiful Diabas bird cliff, where we get close to the busy seabirds nesting on the ledges. From here, we also enjoy an incredible view of Tempelfjellet, rising majestically on the north side of the fjord.
We then go ashore in scenic Bjonahamna for a simple expedition-style lunch, before making our way back to Longyearbyen.
