KVITBJØRN: THE HYBRID-ELECTRIC SPEEDBOAT

The future is sustainability. With our new hybrid-electric speedboat Kvitbjørn you can enjoy beautiful nature and fascinating wildlife with a green conscience. The boat has several destinations during the polar summer and daily departures.

ABOUT KVITBJØRN

Our new hybrid speedboat Kvitbjørn is equipped with a hybrid engine solution and has a comfortable, modern design. The spacious aft deck allows for comfortable scouting for wildlife. During transport, passengers sit safely and comfortably in double seats with seat belts. Kvitbjørn is 14.9 meters long and has a capacity for 12 persons.

Walrus safari to Borebukta
We set course for Borebukta which is on the North side of Isfjorden. The bay is usually quiet and calm and the chance of seeing walruses is quite great. The trip across Isfjorden usually takes an hour and on the way we will enjoy the spectacular nature.

Visit in Ny-Ålesund with the hybrid boat Kvitbjørn
Join us to the world's northernmost settlement, Ny-Ålesund. After the coal mine closed down in 1962, the site was built up for scientific research and is today a state-of-the-art research center in the High Arctic. Here you will find the world's northernmost museum and post office.

Glacier safari to Tempelfjorden and Tunabreen
Join us on a boat trip to the mighty Tuna and Von Post Glacier in the heart of Tempelfjorden. Along the way we will pass Villa Fredheim, the home of the old local legend Hilmar Nøis. We also make a stop at the beautiful bird cliff Diabas, where we will get a close view of its thousands of nesting birds. On the North side of Sassenfjorden a fantastic view of the mountain Tempelfjellet awaits. All of this whilst seeing the glacier in the distance getting closer and closer.

The captain decides the destination according to the weather conditions. Join us out on Isfjorden and experience the magical Svalbard nature up close. If we are lucky, we also see wildlife on this trip.
