Funken Logde
Enjoy your next kick-off at Funken Logde, our Arctic oasis offering an exclusive setting for meetings and conferences in Svalbard. The hotel features a dedicated area that can be closed off from the rest of the building, with modern meeting rooms, separate entrance, hotel rooms and closed off dining, ideal for groups up to 80 pax seeking a private and exclusive experience.
Downstairs, several flexible meeting rooms can be combined, creating the perfect space for larger events. The basement also houses an intimate champagne room and an impressive wine cellar, providing a unique atmosphere for private dinners and tastings. At Funken Lodge, we don’t just host meetings, we create extraordinary experiences.
Radisson Blu Polar Hotel
Set against the dramatic backdrop of the iconic Hiortfjellet mountain, the Radisson Blu Polar Hotel offers a welcoming retreat in the heart of Longyearbyen. Designed with both comfort and functionality in mind, the hotel features a variety of cosy rooms and spacious suites, ideal for business travelers and groups up to 150 pax.
With modern amenities tailored to corporate needs, it’s perfectly suited for productive stays. Take advantage of well-equipped meeting and conference facilities, unwind in the sauna and jacuzzi after a day of Arctic exploration, or relax over a meal or drink in the hotel’s cozy restaurant and pub. Radisson offers 3 different meeting rooms, one in the main building and two in Polarsenteret, located only a few steps from the reception.

An exclusive and historical room for up to 10 pax, perfect for board meetings or intimate dinners. Includes Wi-Fi, 42″ TV, digital conferencing system and coffee/tea service.
The red room
A historical and intimate meeting room with panoramic views over Longyearbyen. Suitable for up to 8 guests in a boardroom-style setup.
The Svalbard halls
A modern and flexible meeting space composed of two adjoining rooms with capacity up to 100 pax. Formats including theater, classroom, U-shape and boardroom.
Huset Movie Theater
Venue capacity up to 400 pax, 60-120 pax for round tables and up to 180 pax for long tables. Perfect for conferences, lectures, larger dinner events, weddings and movie screenings.
Radisson Amundsen
Full technical equipment, coffee/tea service, and flexible seating arrangements. Capacity up to 48 pax in theater format.
Radisson Johansen
Located in Polarsenteret at Radisson with capacity approx. 20 pax. Includes Wi-Fi, monitor, digital conferencing system and coffee/tea service.

TITLE?
The easiest way to reach Svalbard is by air, with SAS and Norwegian operating regular flights to Longyearbyen. Flights depart from Oslo and Tromsø, with a direct flight from Oslo taking around three hours. Since Svalbard is outside the Schengen Area, make sure you bring a valid passport or national ID card, regardless of your nationality.
An airport shuttle service operates in connection with all flight arrivals and departures. It stops at every hotel and guesthouse in Longyearbyen. You can check the shuttle schedule with your hotel reception. Payment can be made in Norwegian kroner (NOK) or by credit card. Taxis are also available when travelling to and from the airport or around Longyearbyen.
Svalbard is the official name of the entire archipelago, with Spitsbergen being the largest island.
In German, you may see it spelt "Spitzbergen." This term is used to refer to the entire archipelago, essentially meaning Svalbard.
There are plenty of activities to enjoy on Svalbard throughout the year. The options available depend on the season you visit. You can try everything from dog sledding and snowmobiling to biking, boating, and hiking. Guided tours of historical sites and sightseeing by car are also great ways to explore the Arctic landscape. The possibilities are endless!

There are plenty of shops in Longyearbyen offering outdoor clothing and equipment, as well as souvenirs, jewelry, and high-quality items from premium Scandinavian brands. Since Svalbard is a tax-free zone, you can find great products at lower prices than on mainland Norway!
In addition, Longyearbyen has a supermarket, pharmacy, hairdresser, post office, church, emergency hospital, dentist, taxi services, and a tourist information centre. Please note that to purchase alcohol in a store, you must present your boarding pass from your flight to Svalbard.
It’s also important to be aware that there is no bank or ATM in Longyearbyen.
