Stay at Radisson Blu Polar Hotel

Radisson Blu Polar Hotel is located in the heart of Longyearbyen, yet close to the surrounding nature. This is the perfect place to stay for both families, couples and friends. The lobby and lounge invites you to relax in front of the fireplace, whilst enjoying a hot drink after a long day of adventure.

You can enjoy a delicious 3-course dinner in Restaurant Nansen. The food is top notch and so is the atmosphere. Here you can come as you are, and the atmosphere is informal. Whether you're wearing wool and hiking gear or come straight from a snowmobile trip doesn't matter

Included in this package is also a dinner at Coal Miners' Bar & Grill. The restaurant is located as far up in the valley as you can get, and offers a real authentic experience of the mining period on Svalbard. Here you'll find a menu full of lovely dishes, like hamburgers as well as vegan alternatives. Or how about a delicious cheese fondue after a long day outside?

Day Cruise on the Fjords

Experience Svalbard's beautiful coastal landscape on a trip aboard MS Bard. This is a ground-breaking catamaran for day cruising, specially built to leave the smallest possible footprint in the vulnerable Arctic nature.

The trip you will join has no fixed route or destination; We sail where the conditions are most favourable, based on weather conditions, waves, and recent observations of wildlife. In other words, the goal of the trip is to capture the best experiences the day has to offer.

Between June and August, the landscape is colored in contrasting shades of green and yellow. With a little luck, wildlife appears along the way. We might see reindeer, seals, whales and – with some extra luck – polar bears. We’ll pass cultural monuments and historical sites, and the guides will ensure an unforgettable experience for all senses. Read more about the tour here.

Sightseeing with electric bike

Combine comfort and efficiency on our electric bike tour, enabling you to see a range of Longyearbyen's sights while getting close to nature. The birdlife is at its best during the summer months, and silently moving through the wilderness will bring you close to the action. Electric bicycles are the perfect way to explore the sealed and unsealed roads around Longyearbyen.

Your bicycling adventure ends back in Longyearbyen, filled with rich cultural and wilderness experiences, and with rosy red cheeks from the fresh Arctic air. Thanks to the electric motor on the bicycles, we will reach many of the highlights of Longyearbyen on this half day tour. This is a comfortable and fun way to experience the Arctic, getting close to nature from the seat of your bike. Read more about the tour here.
